Each week, our members receive a comprehensive weekly newsletter. Here is one of our newsletters that our members receieved, so you know what to expect. We believe that offering a weekly newsletter helps our members to feel part of a community, as well as helping them to integrate Olive & Winnie into their lifestyle, leading to better results for their body and mind.


I am so excited to be writing our first weekly newsletter. Firstly, I’d like to start off by saying thank you so much for being here, it’s such an exciting time for Olive & Winnie and the beginning of our journey! I hope you also feel excited to be involved.

THEME OF THE MONTH: MARCH

‘Noticing’

This month our theme is noticing. To further expand what I mean by this, I have been thinking about ways to increase our gratitude and presence in our daily life. To me, noticing is about picking up on the things that already exist in our lives that make us happy. The things that we feel gratitude for already.

So often we are encouraged to be striving for more, leading to moving goalposts and a feeling of discontent.

So this month I challenge you to ‘notice the small things’. Often we can believe that happiness is fostered from life’s bigger things - holidays, travelling, promotions, engagements, birthdays, Christmas etc. Although I do believe these things are important, I believe what is even more important is noticing the small things that, even more importantly, make you happy on a daily basis. Some of the small things I have thought about are interactions with my friends and family (even just a WhatsApp exchange with my best friends), sitting in cute cafes to do work, the sunshine (!!!), the cosiness of my flat.

A whole month dedicated to thinking about the daily things and being grateful for them. I hope this can lead to more content and gratitude with where you’re at.

WEEKLY AFFIRMATION

‘I want to hold community for others and I deserve to be held in community by others’

PRACTICES

This week, I am encouraging you to slow down with your practices and have a think about our weekly affirmation and our monthly theme. Often, we might read something that resonates with us and then continue on with our day, week, month, going back to how things were.

For this practice, I recommend physically writing down some of your ‘noticing’ points. If you find that you want to go further and continue writing and journalling about these, amazing!

After this, I recommend doing one of our slower paced classes, as an opportunity to really allow what you have noticed to sink in.

  • If you have a little more time, I would recommend Sara’s Yin Yoga: Full Body class

  • If you are shorter on time, I would recommend either of Sara’s breathwork classes

MARCH MATNESS - CLASSICAL PILATES

In the Pilates world, in march we raise awareness for the original Pilates repertoire set out by Joseph Pilates. In honour of march matness and Joseph’s original exercises, I have filmed a classical style class for you all, which has been uploaded as an extra class for you all before our regular releases of classes begins next week. Give it a go & let me know how you find it!

Wednesday, 7.10pm: Fresh Ground, Clapham Junction

Flow Pilates class with Millie in-person. 7.10-7.55pm.

7.10pm: Flow Pilates with Millie. Fresh Ground.

OR

Flow & Energise Pilates. 24 minutes

THURSDAY

HIIT. 26 minutes

FRIDAY

Flow Pilates: Glute Flow. 15 minutes

SATURDAY

Rest day | Suggestion: Meditation or breathwork

SUNDAY

Rest day | Evening: Yin Yoga - the perfect way to end the week & start the new week feeling calm.
